On Super Tuesday, citizens from all over the country flooded to the polls to fulfill their civil duty and cast their votes in the primary election.

The primary election was held to select the candidates who will represent their respective parties in the upcoming general election on November 5.

In Texas, a candidate must obtain 50% plus one of the votes to be considered the primary election winner. If no candidate meets this threshold, the two candidates with the most votes will participate in a run-off election on May 28 to determine the final winner.

The Dallas Express has compiled a quick overview of some of Texas’ top winners and run-off races from the primary election.

Numbers are accurate as of Tuesday at 11:36 p.m.
