DallasGo, the City of Dallas online payment platform for water and other utility bills, is offline through May 17, 2026, as part of a billing system upgrade by Dallas Water Utilities.
The new integrated billing system launches on May 18.
No paper water bills will be mailed during the transition, and there will be no late fees or service disconnections. Customers retain multiple payment options during the outage.
Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) is implementing the upgrade to provide a more seamless, secure, and user-friendly experience. The transition involves moving to a new self-service citywide integrated billing software system that integrates with the updated DallasGo platform, per a City of Dallas memo.
The outage began on May 1, 2026. During this period, customers cannot access their accounts online or receive invoices by mail.
Payments are not accepted by phone during the transition.
Alternative payment methods remain available. Customers may pay by mail using a check or a money order, at authorized payment stations, or in person at Dallas City Hall with cash, check, or money order only.
The City of Dallas announced the outage via social media and multiple channels. “DallasGo is currently offline through May 17, 2026 due to billing upgrades. There will be NO online access, paper water bills, late fees or service disconnections,” the City of Dallas posted on X.
For information and updates, residents can call 214-651-1441 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., email [email protected], or visit the dedicated page at dallas.gov/DallasGo.
Current DallasGo users should have already received, or will receive in early May, an activation letter with a new account number and instructions to re-register and re-enroll in AutoPay on the upgraded platform. All DWU customers should watch for this correspondence.
The upgrade aims to introduce new features that simplify bill management. A public education campaign is underway to help residents navigate the changes once the system returns online on May 18.
Impact on residents is limited by the protections in place. No disconnections or penalties occur during the outage, providing a buffer for those who might otherwise face due dates. However, residents relying heavily on online access or automatic payments will need to use alternative methods or wait for the new system. Those with questions about account status should contact customer service directly.
This temporary change affects Dallas Water Utilities customers citywide. Once live, the upgraded DallasGo is expected to offer enhanced functionality for viewing accounts, making payments, and managing services.
