The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recalls for treadmills, hair growth spray bottles, and outdoor chairs due to risks including fire, poisoning, and injury.

Johnson Health Tech expanded a recall of about 47,000 Matrix Retail and Vision treadmills manufactured without a power cord bracket after reports that the power cord can loosen from the socket, posing a fire threat. Model numbers and specific serial number ranges for each product affected can be found here.

The units feature a 60-inch by 20-inch platform, a 33-inch console, and a straight cord. “Matrix” or “Vision” is marked on the treadmill and belt; model and serial are on the lower front crossbar.

The firm noted 27 overheating incidents at the cord-socket area, with no injuries. Owners without a power cord bracket should ensure the cord is secure before use and contact the company for a free replacement cord with an automatic locking-style plug, which can be installed without tools.

The treadmills were sold at various retailers and online from April 2012 to May 2025 for $2,100 to $8,100. Importer is Johnson Health Tech Trading Inc. of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; made in China. Contact toll-free at 800-211-4590 weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT, email [email protected], or visit https://matrixhomefitness.com/recalls or https://recalls.visionfitness.com/ under “Recalls.”

Separately, about 29,000 Iristar Minoxidil Spray Bottles were recalled for lacking child-resistant packaging required under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, which could result in serious injury or death if young children ingest the 5% minoxidil with biotin.

The black plastic bottles have navy blue labels with white accents and a spray cap, labeled “Iristar” and “Minoxidil Spray” on the front, with ingredients and directions on the back. No incidents reported.

Consumers should store bottles out of reach of children and contact Moralowen for a free child-resistant replacement bottle, transferring the contents for continued use.

The product was sold on Amazon.com from December 2024 to September 2025 for about $18. The manufacturer is Shaoshan Leiluo Trading Co., Ltd. of Shaoshan, Hunan, China; the retailer is Moralowen of South Korea. Recall number 26-210. Contact at 862-397-7376 weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, email [email protected], or visit moralowen.com and click “Recall Details.”

RootStim Beard Growth Serum and Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum were similarly recalled last week due to a lack of child-resistant packaging.

Academy Sports + Outdoors recalled approximately 35,300 Magellan Odyssey Rocker Chairs after the legs were found to break, posing injury and fall dangers.

The folding chairs, in charcoal, navy, olive green, and teal, measure about 25.2 inches long by 5.5 inches deep by 37.4 inches high when folded, or 25.4 by 25.2 by 37.4 inches when open, with a metal frame, mesh backrest, carrying handle, and a side drink holder. The Magellan Outdoors logo is on the front. Only those made in July to August 2025 are affected, with “ACADEMY, LTD,” “177296,” and the MM/YYYY date on the seat label.

There has been one report of a broken chair leg, but no injuries have been reported. Stop use immediately and return to stores or mail back via customer care for a full refund, no cost for shipping.

The chairs were sold at Academy stores nationwide and on academy.com from September to October 2025 for about $50 each. Importer is Academy Ltd., doing business as Academy Sports + Outdoors, of Katy, Texas; made in Cambodia. Recall number 26-202.
