Two Dallas Police officers have been taken into custody on two separate charges, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Dallas police arrested Senior Corporal Christopher Grall on October 8 on a state jail felony charge of solicitation of prostitution.

The department placed Grall, a Training Division member who joined Dallas police in February 1990, on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

The announcement came a day after Dallas police disclosed that Officer Troy Allison had surrendered on an official oppression warrant in a separate case.

Allison turned himself in at the Dallas County Jail on October 6 on the Class A misdemeanor warrant, the department said in its October 7 announcement. He has served with Dallas police since April 2008 and works in the North Central Patrol Division.

Details of the allegations against Allison emerged in an October 8 report describing an arrest affidavit. The case stems from a June 4 encounter after authorities arrested a suspect and Dallas Fire-Rescue provided medical treatment, Fox 4 reported.

Allison allegedly gripped the suspect by the neck and hair to position the person’s head for a photograph, causing pain and difficulty breathing, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit also alleges that Allison repeatedly punched the suspect in the head while the person wore handcuffs, the outlet reported.

Dallas police placed Allison on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. Neither officer has responded publicly to the allegations.

The department’s announcement about Grall does not describe the alleged encounter that led to his arrest. The sources report charges against both officers, not convictions.
