Pearce alum Rodriguez signs with Colorado School of Mines

John Suayan | Jun 27, 2021

Newly graduated J.J. Pearce High School, Richardson, alum Gabriel “Gabe” Rodriguez will head west to the Colorado School of Mines in the fall.

Rodriguez inked a national letter of intent with a Mines men’s soccer team that compiled a 7-0-1 record in 2021, as well as hoisted its fourth consecutive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Cup.

“Congratulations to Senior Gabe Rodriguez who signed today and will continue to play at @MinesMSOC!!!” the Pearce boys soccer team’s Twitter account posted back in April. “Gabe has been a 4-year varsity player & was a senior captain this year. He will represent the Mustang family proudly!!”

Rodriguez punctuated his prep career by earning all-district first-team honors.

Aside from starring for Pearce as a four-year letterman, he played for Solar Soccer Club.
