A public Facebook post by a woman identified as Sammie Lee alleges that several women attacked her as she walked to a vehicle after leaving Whiskey J’s in Longview during the overnight hours of June 20 into June 21.

As of publication, the Longview Police Department had not confirmed the account, and The Dallas Express had not independently verified the exact time, location, or circumstances of the alleged attack.

Lee alleged in the public post that the women shouted “free karmelo” and said they planned to target “the smallest white girl they could find.”

Lee wrote that she and her best friend had no issues inside Whiskey J’s before the alleged attack occurred as they walked back to a vehicle. The post does not allege that Whiskey J’s employees, security, or management were involved in the incident.

Post Includes Apparent Injury Images

Lee’s Facebook post appeared shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday, June 21, and said she and her best friend had gone out for drinks in Longview.

Lee said she did not know the women and had not spoken to or looked at them before the alleged attack. She wrote that she suffered a black eye and needed staples in her head.

Photographs included with Lee’s post appear to show a woman with visible blood around her forehead and scalp, apparent bruising near one eye, and a neck brace. The images do not establish when, where, or how the apparent injuries occurred.

In a later post, Lee urged people she described as witnesses, along with anyone else with information, to contact the Longview Police Department.

In a Facebook comment, Lee also named three women and said law enforcement had been notified. The Dallas Express is not publishing those names because their alleged involvement has not been independently verified by police or court records.

Account Draws Wider Attention

Independent investigative reporter Sarah Fields later shared Lee’s account on X, helping draw broader attention to the allegations. Fields attributed the claims to Lee and included additional injury photos in the thread.

Claimed Karmelo Anthony Link Is Unconfirmed

Lee used only the first name Karmelo in her Facebook post. Fields described the alleged attackers as Karmelo Anthony supporters, but that characterization has not been independently verified.

The Anthony case has drawn intense online attention since the April 2025 stabbing, including competing claims about race, fairness, and what happened before the fatal confrontation. As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Collin County’s release of trial evidence gave the public a way to compare viral claims about the Frisco track meet stabbing with the court record jurors reviewed.

A prior review by The Dallas Express of the released videos did not identify footage showing anyone jumping Anthony before the stabbing, surrounding him before the stabbing, or pulling him into a prolonged fight.

A Collin County jury convicted Anthony, 19, of murder on June 9 and sentenced him to 35 years in prison for fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a Frisco track meet in April 2025.

Lee’s post connected the alleged Longview attack to Karmelo only through the phrase she said the attackers yelled.

The Dallas Express sought comment from Lee and the Longview Police Department and attempted to reach a current representative for Whiskey J’s through available contact channels. No current representative for the bar had responded as of publication. This story will be updated if responses are received.
