The last hospitalized victim from the Allen Premium Outlets shooting was discharged from Medical City McKinney on Friday.

Their identity was not made public in a press release issued by the hospital system.

“It is said that darkness is the absence of light. In the dark events that occurred in Allen, Texas, I am proud that our Medical City Healthcare colleagues, along with first responders, were able to be a light to so many of the victims and families affected by this horrific tragedy,” said Allen Harrison, president of Medical City Healthcare. “Our collective hope for all of those affected is for physical and emotional healing.”

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, eight people were killed and several others injured in the deadly attack on May 6, which came to an end after a police officer at the scene killed the shooter.

Eight of the people who sustained wounds during the incident were admitted to trauma facilities in the Medical City Healthcare network.

Immediate medical attention was given to at least one patient at the scene, who was swiftly transported to Medical City Plano. Five other victims were taken to Medical City McKinney, a Level II Trauma Center equipped to deliver extensive trauma care.

Irvin Walker, a survivor of the shooting, expressed his deepest gratitude to his doctors and everyone on his medical team at a press conference, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

Among the injured, a pediatric patient was later transferred from Medical City McKinney to receive specialized treatment at Medical City Children’s Hospital.

Fortunately, all individuals who received inpatient hospital care have recovered and been discharged.

Three of the eight killed in the incident were from the same family, Kyu and Cindy Cho, and their 3-year-old son, James. Two sisters died, 11-year-old Daniela Mendoza and 8-year-old Sofia Mendoza. The other victims were Christian LaCour, 20; Aishwarya Thatikonda, 27; and Elio Cumana-Rivas, 32, as reported by The Dallas Express.
