While Labor Day isn’t until September 4, there are a lot of opportunities for culinary exploration happening in Dallas-Fort Worth right now.

Local restaurants are gearing up for extended brunch services, special dinners, and exclusive tastings beginning August 31.

Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a beer aficionado, or a front-line hero, Dallas has something special for you.

Here is your roadmap to a culinary adventure, compiled by Dallas Culture Map.

Thursday, August 31

Check out either a wine-tasting experience at the Tango Room or a four-course beer dinner at On Rotation Brewery.

For $115, the Tango Room at 1617 Hi Line Dr., Suite 250, is offering a 60-minute guided tasting of “the world of sauvignon blanc.”

The voyage into the sauv blancs of Northern California, Southern France, and more starts at 6 p.m. and will be accompanied by some small snacks handpicked by the chef.

Stay for dinner and enjoy a 20% discount.

Otherwise, head over to a four-course beer dinner on the same day at On Rotation Brewery. Located at 7701 Lemmon Ave., Suite 200, this craft beer brewpub is organizing an event to bid adieu to the summer season from 7 p.m.

For just $60, a culinary symphony featuring watermelon salad, pan-seared scallops, and a lemon-blackberry tart complemented by hazelnut whipped cream awaits.

Each course comes with tailored beer pairings, making for a refreshing night out.

Friday, September 1

Anyone looking for an opportunity to sip and stroll need look no further than PGA Frisco. In celebration of the closing moments of summer, PGA Frisco is hosting an upscale adults-only evening on The Monument Realty lawn at 3255 PGA Pkwy. from 6 to 9 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to wear white as they enjoy 10 white and rosé wine tastings, espresso martini ice cream pour-overs, and prosecco with popsicles. Tickets cost $62 plus tax.

STK Steakhouse is offering a different kind of exclusive evening, with front-line heroes — doctors, nurses, law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, hospital workers, and educators — invited to take advantage of a 50% discount on meals beginning on Friday and lasting through the long weekend.

The Dallas location is situated at 2000 McKinney Ave., offering a stylish spot to enjoy some music and quality steaks.

Members of STK’s Friends with Benefits program can earn a $50 dining credit.

Monday, September 4

What better way to enjoy Labor Day than enjoying a lavish brunch? Several restaurants are pulling out all the stops for the occasion.

Spanish-style eats are on the menu at Bulla Gastrobar from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out dishes like braised pork hash and Serrano ham croquettes at the Plano location at 6007 Legacy Dr.

At Ida Claire, Southern comfort meets culinary innovation, with brunch offerings like fried chicken and waffles available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Addison location can be found at 5001 Belt Line Rd.

Finally, don’t miss out on the Cajun shrimp boil at Fish City Grill, available all day for just $16.99, paired with $5 Gold Margaritas. The upscale chain has several locations, including 10720 Preston Rd., Suite 1006.
