A Chick-fil-A in Hudson Oaks has announced that it will add an additional lane to its drive-thru.

The restaurant, located off Interstate 20 West, is adding the lane to account for its high volume of customers. Adding this new lane is expected to ease traffic congestion and make the process easier for workers and guests alike.

The restaurant is likely busy since it is just one of two Chick-fil-A locations in Parker County. The other Parker County restaurant is roughly six miles west, in Weatherford.

The Hudson Oaks restaurant is also adding eight more parking spaces and a new door at the drive-through window, as well as replacing a canopy for the drive-through.

The renovations are expected to cost a total of $350,000, according to the filings, as reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Construction is set to begin sometime in March and should be finished by May.

North Texas Chick-fil-A locations have been in the news a lot recently.

On January 19, a new location opened at 1401 Elm St. in Dallas, as reported by The Dallas Express. It can be found on the ground floor of the recently renovated 52-story building The National. This Chick-fil-A joined 140 other North Texas Chick-fil-A locations. Although there is no drive-through, this restaurant is still expected to be busy due to its urban placement. It will rely heavily on catering and delivery services.

In addition to a new Chick-fil-A opening, a location in Fort Worth was one of multiple restaurants that struggled with health inspections recently. Reports indicate that cockroaches were discovered during a health inspection at a Fort Worth Chick-fil-A, located at 3200 Hulen St., as reported by The Dallas Express

These inspections are meant to verify that food is being handled in a safe and healthy environment for customers. During these inspections, restaurants are graded and told about any issues that need to be addressed.
