A driver operating a yellow Chevrolet Camaro in Dallas was caught on camera apparently trying to pick a fight with a trucker.

The road rage incident was recorded on the dash cam of a truck driver on June 6 shortly before 9:30 p.m. YouTube user wolf dances shared the clip on June 9.

In the video, the driver of a yellow Chevy attempts to pass the truck on the right, apparently ignoring that the right lane was about to end.

The truck driver adds in the video that he had backed off to let another truck merge into the left lane.

As the right lane ends, the footage shows the motorist in the Chevy continuing to drive alongside the truck even as the lane narrows.

At the first opportunity, the truck driver changes lanes to the left, leaving the yellow car in the truck’s original lane.

A few moments later, the Chevy can be seen passing the truck on the left and then darting in front of it while using no turning signal.

The driver then begins braking in front of the truck. This continues as the truck driver is repeatedly forced to lower his speed to under 50 mph and switch lanes.

At one point the driver of the yellow car pulls up alongside the truck and gestures out the window.

Road rage incidents like this one can often have severe, and sometimes even deadly, consequences.

Last spring, a man from Plano was shot six times in what police believe was a road rage incident, as The Dallas Express reported. The suspect allegedly fired at the car of the victim, Guillermo Oliva, who was critically wounded.

Plano PD told The Dallas Express that anyone confronted with a road rage incident should call 911, slow down, and put as much space between themselves and the other vehicle as possible.

Yet, as The Dallas Express reported, drivers in the metroplex might have a difficult time avoiding road rage incidents, with the Dallas Police Department logging over 800 complaints in 2022 alone.

Extreme incidents of road rage might be characterized by cursing or making obscene gestures at others; by causing damage to another’s vehicle by ramming it, driving it off the road, or throwing objects at it; or by physically assaulting or pulling a weapon on another driver.

Other incidents of road rage might involve aggressive driving that could potentially blow up into a more extreme situation. These behaviors include cutting in front of another driver, then slowing down; blocking cars attempting to pass or change lanes; and passing a vehicle on the wrong side of the road.
