A former Brink’s Inc. employee was sentenced on Monday to 171 months in federal prison for robbing two Brink’s armored trucks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, federal prosecutors announced.

Isaiah Warren, 25, received the sentence from Senior U.S. District Judge David C. Godbey on charges of interfering with commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. In addition to the prison term, Warren was ordered to pay $696,700 in restitution.

According to court documents, the first robbery occurred on November 30, 2024, outside the DolEx Dollar Express, a check-cashing and money transfer business at 1788 W. Irving Boulevard in Irving. A Brink’s driver had just collected deposits and placed them in a company tote bag when Warren, dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask and a Loomis-branded jacket, approached him. Warren pressed a handgun under the driver’s body armor, took the driver’s issued firearm from its holster, and fled with the tote bag containing about $34,700.

Court records show Warren later admitted he took part in a second robbery on December 31, 2024, at the Educational Employees Credit Union at 9350 Clifford Street in Fort Worth. A Brink’s driver had parked in front of the credit union to begin refilling the ATMs when Warren and another person, both armed with handguns and wearing face coverings, confronted her. They forced the driver back into the truck at gunpoint, entered the secure area, and took two cash bags holding approximately $662,000.

After leaving the truck, the pair was confronted by an Educational Employees Credit Union security guard. Warren pointed his firearm at the guard before he and the other individual fled on foot with the money.

Warren was arrested three days later, on January 3, 2025, in Gainesville during a traffic stop after he and a female passenger ran a red light. Officers found him in possession of the Springfield XD .40-caliber handgun used in both robberies, multi-gram quantities of marijuana, and $98,785 in stolen U.S. currency.

The FBI Dallas Field Office investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rick Calvert prosecuted it.
