Police Release Surveillance Image of Suspect Who Burglarized Church

The McKinney Police Department is currently on the hunt for a suspect who burglarized a church near the end of February.

The man was caught on video surveillance stealing from the First Baptist Church on Louisiana Street in McKinney at about 3:40 a.m. on February 22.

McKinney PD has now released footage of the incident on its Twitter page, asking for the public’s help in apprehending the suspect.

According to the footage posted, the suspect broke into the church, then threw an object into an office window to crack it before kicking the glass in.

McKinney Police described the suspect as a man in his 40s or 50s, between 5’9″ and 5’11″ tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. The suspect has a white or gray goatee.

Authorities said the suspect has tattoos on the left side and back of his neck, as well as the back of his head.

McKinney Police are asking anyone who might have information leading to the suspect’s arrest to contact Detective M. Jenkins at [email protected] or 972-547-2131.
