Allegedly Homeless Man Fatally Shoots Another in a Dallas Park

A man is dead in Dallas after being shot in the chest multiple times on March 3, according to The DPD Beat.

Around 1:47 p.m., Dallas Police arrived at the park in the 3000 block of Floyd Street to find a man, believed to be in his 50s, lying on the sidewalk. The man appeared to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Dallas Fire-Rescue took the victim to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

According to witnesses, the suspect is a white male who is approximately 30 years old. The suspect apparently walked up to the victim and shot him three times in the chest.

Bystanders went after the suspect for several blocks before losing him in an alley.

Both the victim and suspect are believed to be homeless.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office will conduct a fingerprint analysis to determine the victim’s identity. Detectives are working with homeless shelters to identify the suspect.

The motive for the shooting is unclear, but an investigation is ongoing.
