Man Found Fatally Shot Near Homeless Encampment

Dallas police discovered a 27-year-old Latino male who had been shot multiple times on Saturday. He was found near a tent at a homeless encampment.

First responders arrived at 2200 West 2000 Northwest Highway around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, after a call regarding a shooting.

The victim was pronounced dead by Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Apparently, the shooting actually took place under the bridge of 10100 N. Stemmons Freeway.

Police will not reveal the name of the victim until the next of kin is notified.
