Frisco is one of three North Texas cities where wellness franchise Sweathouz is planning to open new stores.

The company offers cold plunges, infrared saunas, contrast therapy, and Vitamin C showers for health enthusiasts at each of its “one-stop” locations. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, alterations at 12455 Eldorado Parkway, Suite 320, are scheduled to begin in December. The address tied to the site was formerly linked to Club Pilates.

Listed on the state filing as the design firm, Atlanta-based Legacy Franchise Partners owns the Sweathouz brand and pet-hospitality franchise Dogtopia, which operates stores in Highland Village, Roanoke, Southlake, Frisco, Plano, Dallas, McKinney, Richardson, Arlington, Fort Worth, and Farmers Branch.

A spokesperson for Legacy Franchise Partner did not return messages seeking comment. According to its website, Sweathouz is also opening locations in Coppell and Fort Worth.

Sweathouz clients are given private suites, where they spend at least half an hour in saunas with scented cold compresses before showering. Beauty bars are also available.

According to a Statista report, the global health and wellness market is estimated to reach nearly $7 trillion by 2025 as consumers focus more on physical and mental well-being. And a McKinsey & Company study found that in a survey of about 7,500 people, 79% said they believe that wellness is important, citing being more fit, eating healthier, getting better sleep, looking better, and having a healthier mindset as factors contributing to overall wellness. The same survey-takers said that personalization — if not privacy — are equally important.

Work on Sweathouz’ Frisco project, with a construction cost of $300,000, is expected to be delivered in March, according to the filing.
