The Fort Worth City Council will tackle budget planning, zoning cases, and a major economic development deal during two meetings on Tuesday, August 12.
The meetings come as the city prepares its fiscal year 2026 budget and considers a potential $15 million agreement with a microelectronics manufacturer, according to meeting agendas.
Council members will convene at noon on August 12 for a work session in City Hall’s lower level. The session will focus on the recommended operating and capital budgets for fiscal year 2026.
Budget discussions will include a wrap-up session and the adoption schedule.
The regular council meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber. Members will vote on adopting the Eastside Transportation Plan and approving the city’s annual action plan for $13.2 million in federal housing grants.
The grants come from four federal programs: Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership Program, Emergency Solutions Grant, and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program.
Council will consider 19 zoning cases during the evening session. Members will also vote on the city’s annual funding request to the Crime Control & Prevention District for $138.6 million.
A five-year lease agreement with Cook Children’s Health Care System is on the agenda. The agreement would provide office space for the Fort Worth Police at the Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood Health Center.
The potential economic development agreement with Adom Industries Inc. would establish a prototyping and advanced microelectronics manufacturing facility in Fort Worth. The deal would not exceed $15 million.
Residents can watch both meetings live on Fort Worth TV, either online or on TV, or through the city’s YouTube channel. Those wishing to speak before the council can find instructions on the city’s website.
