President Donald Trump (R) renewed his endorsement of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) in a direct-to-camera video Friday as the November general election approaches.
“Ken Paxton has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next U.S. Senator from Texas — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” Trump wrote alongside the video.

New Poll Shows 1-Point Gap
Trump’s renewed push came one day after an Emerson College Polling/Nexstar Media poll found state Rep. James Talarico (D-District 50) at 47% and Paxton at 46% among 1,000 likely Texas voters. Libertarian Ted Brown received 2%, while 4% were undecided.
The survey ran September 12-14 and carries a credibility interval of plus or minus 3 percentage points, meaning the one-point difference between Talarico and Paxton falls within the poll’s stated range of uncertainty.
Trump Returns To Paxton
Trump previously endorsed Paxton ahead of the May Republican runoff against U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), using the same “Complete and Total Endorsement” language and saying Paxton would “never let you down.”
Paxton went on to defeat Cornyn, receiving 885,949 votes to Cornyn’s 501,725, according to Texas Secretary of State results.
The general-election fight has since drawn major outside spending. As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. reported $10 million in independent expenditures in the race, split between advertising supporting Paxton and opposing Talarico.
General Election Set For November 3
The Texas Secretary of State’s certified ballot lists Paxton, Talarico and Brown for the U.S. Senate race. Texas will hold the general election on November 3.
