A viral court filing accusing JPMorgan Chase executive Lorna Hajdini of sexual misconduct is now facing pushback from the bank, Hajdini’s attorneys, and newly reported details about the anonymous plaintiff behind the case.

The New York Post reported Thursday that multiple sources identified the plaintiff, listed in court filings as “John Doe,” as Chirayu Rana, a former JPMorgan employee who now works as a principal at investment firm Bregal Sagemount.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the complaint accused Hajdini, 37, of coercing a married banker into non-consensual sexual acts, drugging him, and threatening his career. The claims have not been proven in court.

Court docket records reviewed by The Dallas Express now show the summons and complaint listed as “Returned For Correction.” The New York Post reported that the court document cited in earlier coverage had been withdrawn for “corrections” and that DailyMail+ first reported details from the filing before the document was withdrawn.

Hajdini Denies Allegations

Hajdini denied the allegations in a statement provided to The Post through her attorneys.

“Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place,” the statement said.

JPMorgan also rejected the claims.

“Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims,” a bank spokesperson told The Post. “While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”

The Post reported that JPMorgan’s internal review included team phone records and emails and found no evidence supporting the allegations.

Post Identifies Anonymous Plaintiff

The Post reported that multiple sources identified Rana as the former JPMorgan banker who filed the complaint under the John Doe pseudonym.

Rana did not respond to multiple requests for comment from The Post, according to the outlet. The attorney listed on the New York County Supreme Court docket as representing John Doe also did not return The Post’s calls seeking comment.

The Post further reported that Rana did not report to Hajdini while the two worked at JPMorgan.

Instead, sources told the outlet that Hajdini and Rana were colleagues on the leveraged finance team and reported to different managing directors. The Post reported that Hajdini would not have controlled Rana’s annual bonus.

That detail could be significant because the complaint alleged Hajdini used her position to threaten Rana’s career and compensation.

Allegations Remain Unproven

No trial date has been set, according to The Post.

The allegations remain part of a civil matter and have not been tested in court. JPMorgan has said it will defend itself against the claims.

The Post reported that Hajdini remains employed at JPMorgan. The outlet also reported that allies of Hajdini described the allegations as a “complete fabrication.”

The Dallas Express has not independently verified the Post’s identification of the plaintiff. The case remains subject to further court filings, corrections, and judicial review.
