Danone U.S. is recalling So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster pints after discovering potential contamination with small stones or hard objects.
The voluntary recall of the non-dairy frozen dessert, announced on Monday by the FDA, affects products sold nationwide with best-by dates before August 8, 2027.
The contamination poses a safety risk to consumers who could bite into foreign materials hidden within the cashew inclusions. The company has already identified and corrected the issue.
The recall targets only one specific product: So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert in pint containers. Products carry SKU #136603 and UPC #744473476138.
The company is working with retailers to remove affected products from store shelves.
“So Delicious Dairy Free takes every consumer experience seriously and is initiating this voluntary recall in line with its commitment to product quality and consumer safety,” the company said in its notice. It added that it “will soon be able to bring back the frozen dessert so many people enjoy.”
Consumers who purchased the recalled product should not eat it. For refunds, customers can contact the So Delicious Dairy Free Care Line at 1-833-367-8975.
The recall affects no other So Delicious Dairy Free flavors or products. Only the Salted Caramel Cluster pints with the specified codes pose a risk.
