Hobby Lobby has recalled approximately 21,230 plush giraffe and llama toys nationwide after a report of detaching parts that could pose a choking hazard to children.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall last week after an incident in which a toy leg detached from the body, releasing small beads inside.

The recall affects two specific products: a nine-inch giraffe plush with a yellow body and a claw clip, and a 12-inch white llama plush with a green claw clip. Both toys feature multicolored paws and were sold at Hobby Lobby stores and online from May through December 2025.

The giraffe toy features orange and blue legs and black-and-white spotted ears. Model numbers “HL699436” or “HL731481” appear on its sewn-in label, while “2553675” shows on the hang tag.

The llama includes a mirror and an orange triangle teether attached to its body. Its legs are orange and yellow, with “HL699436” on the label and “2553634” on the hang tag.

Hobby Lobby sold the toys for $6 to $8 before pulling them from shelves. No injuries have been reported from the single incident that triggered the recall.

Consumers should stop using these plush toys immediately and return them to any Hobby Lobby location for a full refund. The craft retailer operates stores nationwide and continues processing returns for the affected products.
