Prepare for a spine-chilling experience as Texas Frightmare Weekend, the ultimate horror convention, creeps back into the hearts of fright enthusiasts.

This highly anticipated event promises a thrilling weekend filled with screams, scares, and unforgettable memories.

Texas Frightmare Weekend, one of the largest horror conventions in the nation, is coming to the Irving Convention Center beginning Friday, May 26, and the event runs until Sunday, May 28.

The event will feature some of the best in the horror film industry, such as John Carpenter, who has written projects such as the Halloween series that stars Jamie Lee Curtis and James Jude Courtney.

People from across the country are flocking to the DFW Metroplex to attend Texas Frightmare Weekend to meet their favorite horror film actors, directors, and writers.

“This is one of the best events,” James Jude Courtney, who plays Michael Myers, told The Dallas Express.

“The people who run it [are] a mom-and-pop operation, and they are just first class,” Courtney expressed.

The event will also have concessions, so eventgoers will be able to eat and drink before possibly losing their lunch during the Frightmare weekend.

Texas Frightmare Weekend is celebrating its 16th year as a premier horror convention, and fans of the genre are feeling electrified about meeting their favorite horror actors, as well as the actors themselves.

“I love meeting the fans because sometimes they’ll have lines that are seven to eight hours long you know. People wait in line a long time to come and meet me for two minutes, so I make sure to look every single person in the eye and … acknowledge something about that person because they’ve taken the time to come to see me,” said Courtney.

“When you come to a place like Texas where the people are extraordinarily friendly you know it’s even better,” said Courtney.
