Memorial Day weekend is here. As Texans prepare to celebrate and honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military on Monday, May 29, here are a few weekend events to enjoy.

New Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair:

Get ready to celebrate 150 years of Deep Ellum at the New Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair this Saturday.

Deep Ellum, the iconic entertainment district of Dallas, is set to carve a new path with the inaugural Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair from May 27 to May 29.

Celebrating 150 years of business, culture, and entertainment, this three-day event promises to showcase what the vibrant community offers.

Hosted by the Deep Ellum Community Association and supported by generous sponsors, the fair aims to highlight the district’s rich history and sense of community.

Attendees will be able to immerse themselves in a wide array of curated visual artwork, enjoy captivating performances by local musicians, witness engaging theater acts, and marvel at street performers.

The distinctive charm of Deep Ellum will be on full display, with its bustling eateries, striking murals, and shopping options.

Visitors can explore and discover the unique works created by those who call this neighborhood home.

The Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair promises to be an extraordinary event, inviting locals and visitors alike to celebrate the district’s enduring legacy and its thriving artistic spirit.

The Dallas Super Show:

Dallas car enthusiasts can prepare to be dazzled when the Dallas Super Show returns to Fair Park inside the Automotive Building and Centennial Hall.

This must-see car event highlights the 2023 WEGO Tour and WEGO-Midwest Tour, which is set to showcase an impressive lineup of cars from all corners of the United States.

As one of the flagship events on the renowned Original Lowrider Tour, the Dallas Super Show promises to be a spectacle for car enthusiasts.

The event occurs on Sunday, May 28, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

General admission to the weekend event begins at $25.

Carne Asada Fest:

Carne Asada Fest has made its anticipated return this year at Gilley’s Dallas, located at 1135 Botham Jean Blvd.

Carne Asada Fest is one of Dallas’ premier Latin music and food festivals.

The event will feature live music, DJs, and some of the best local food vendors Dallas has to offer.

Musical entertainment will feature artists such as Michael Salgado, Gabriella Martinez, MC Magic Fulanito, and many more.

The first 100 people will get free carne asada.

Kids 12 and under are admitted free.
