Just after the newest Samsung Experience Store cut the ribbon at its grand opening in Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre Mall, the most recent line of Samsung phones has been released.
The Samsung Experience Store first came to Texas in 2019, opening in the Houston Galleria Mall. The company then checked DFW off its list with its newest Experience store installment, unveiled at 2601 Preston Road in Frisco on February 18.
The Frisco store is Samsung’s sixth in the country, with another two pairs located in both New York and California.
The February 25 release of the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra serves as the perfect lure into the sleek, interactive store that allows customers to test out 5G technology as well as Samsung phones, pads, and laptops.
The store also offers repairs for Samsung smartphones and smartwatches, and those who would forgo the interactive element can take advantage of no-touch curbside pick-up.
When asked why Samsung chose Stonebriar Centre Mall for its next Samsung Experience Store, Allister Jones, senior vice president, head of retail operations, and DTC of Samsung Electronics America, gave a two-part answer.
First, Jones said the company chose Texas because of its preexisting, 25-year investment in the state.
“We bought our semiconductor plant down in Austin, and we have a mobile headquarters out in Plano, where we have about 1,200 to 1,300 employees. So in terms of making a decision, why Texas? That was easy,” he told The Dallas Express.
Second, Jones said Samsung went with Stonebriar Centre in Frisco to encourage the company’s growth in DFW.
“Why Stonebriar Mall and why here in Frisco? [We decided] we want to continue to grow in Texas and continue to grow with our commitment in this area. And we know this is like one of the top malls in the state. So in terms of actually developing a new store concept, it was not hard to decide that it had to open here. We waited. We knew we [wanted to] wait for the right space,” Jones said.
With a suitable space and a new line of phones, the Samsung Experience Store at Stonebriar situates itself as the latest place for gadget lovers to play.
