Celebrate this weekend in the city of Grapevine at the 31st annual New Vintage Gallery Trail and Art Show.

Grapevine is celebrating its New Vintage Gallery Trail and Art Show this weekend, and anyone who enjoys drinking wine, a fun atmosphere, and artwork is invited to the fun.

The event begins Friday and lasts through Saturday evening.

Wine connoisseurs and people who just enjoy wine and art should purchase New Vintage passports.

The passports include admission to the event and the blessing of the vines, access to the fine art show, souvenir wine glasses, three one-ounce tastings at each participating winery tasting room, one food item at each participating winery tasting room, and access to multiple art galleries, working artist studios and Grapevine’s Public Art Trail.

The fun kicked off Friday, April 14, with the Art Patron Party at Peace Plaza at Grapevine Main Station from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The Art Patron Party is new this year, and guests who purchase tickets will be able to enjoy a dynamic collection of fine art, beverage service, and floating appetizers.

Tickets for the new Art Patron Party are $75 per person.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, a procession and the blessing of the vines will take place at Peace Plaza at Grapevine Main.

The blessing of the vines is an old European tradition that includes carrying pounds of fresh grapes to be blessed by a priest.

The vines will be blessed by Father Mel of St. Francis of Assisi in Grapevine, who will also bless the new release wines.

“The vines will be blessed, and the first 100 people can take one home and plant it in their yard,” said Elizabeth Schrack, a spokeswoman for the city said, speaking to The Dallas Express.

Whether you bring your spouse or friends, the New Vintage Gallery Trail and Art Show will provide a fun adult atmosphere that will be full of moments perfect for Instagram.

“I think the best part, and so many of us will agree, is that seeing people out there smiling, enjoying life, and making memories that will last a lifetime. People come down here, they enjoy themselves, they experience new things, and they take that with them, and I think that’s really cool,” said Schrack.

The event is 21 plus to attend.

Tickets for the New Vintage Gallery Trail and Art Show are $55 per person.
