Teens looking for festive outlets this month can find much to plug into here in North Texas.

The Dallas Express has provided a short list of 5 youth-friendly events to keep all family members engaged and entertained this season.

Snowday

Enjoy a snow day on your holiday break with Snowday in the Galleria. Through January 7, guests will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in an exciting experience that includes a visit to a candy cane café, a ride in Santa’s spaceship, a journey through a gingerbread tunnel, a stroll down an Elvish alley, and the chance to take photos inside a snow globe, according to the Dallas Observer. A hilarious conductor will also guide you on a “train ride” through a snowy forest to Santa’s workshop – a delightful adventure for everyone. The Galleria is located at 13350 Dallas Parkway in Dallas.

Cowboy Christmas Extravaganza

Are you a sports fan? Check out the Cowboy Christmas Extravaganza at The Star in Frisco. The show promises to bring you the excitement of game day. You’ll see the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders perform, enjoy a light display synchronized with Christmas music, and watch a lineup of 69 talented performers. There will also be a 67-foot Christmas tree lighting ceremony by a Dallas Cowboys football legend, and Santa Claus himself will be making an appearance, per the Dallas Cowboys’ event page. This weekend is the event’s last of the season. Festivities will occur on both Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 6 p.m. — Look here for additional information and the lineup of special guest appearances. The event and parking are free.

Movie Party

Alamo Drafthouse is hosting holiday movie parties, encouraging moviegoers to sing along, cheer, and enjoy delicious drinks and food for all ages, including burgers, pizza, salads, and snacks. With themed drinks and interactive props, Alamo’s movie parties will bring the holiday season to the big screen, showing movies like ELF and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Look here for locations, tickets, and showtimes.

Holiday in the Park

Through December 31, Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington will be hosting Six Flags’ annual Holiday in the Park. The event includes s’mores and other holiday treats, a short Nutcracker performance, story time with Mrs. Claus, the Mystic Acres Selfie Wonderland, a holiday haunted house, and a 70-foot Christmas tree. General admission starts at $45. For additional details and available dates, look here.
