For the first time, Cirque Du Soleil will come to Dallas, presenting the “Twas the Night Before…” production at Grand Prairie’s Texas Trust CU Theater.
The inaugural Christmas show will feature aerialists, dancers, and skaters, offering a whimsical performance of acrobatics, athleticism, artistry, and visual effects.
A unique spin on the classic children’s story, Cirque Du Soleil’s “Twas the Night Before…” reimagines the tale of friendship and sharing in a way that will captivate audiences with love and Christmas cheer.
Follow Isabella, a young girl bored with the Christmas hype but still with an inquisitive mind, as she is transported into the fantastical, inside-out world of the Christmas poem and introduced to its colorful characters.
While the production is new to Dallas-Fort Worth, it started in 2019 in Chicago and New York, where more than 30,000 fans have seen the magical performance.
“Twas the Night Before…” is the Montreal-based company’s 49th production. The Cirque Du Soleil performance will run for 25 performances from Friday, November 25 through Sunday, December 11, 2022, the press release stated.
The show has received quite the media buzz, with several outlets praising the company’s performances, including The Hollywood Reporter, which said,”‘Twas the Night Before…’ delivers terrific holiday entertainment that should delight children and adults alike.”
New York Theater Guide gave “Twas the Night Before…” five stars and The New York Times said, “The acrobats are all glamour and athleticism, the skaters all speed and daring.”
“Twas the Night Before…” was created with a specially curated musical playlist of holiday classics to usher in the Christmas spirit.
Over the years, more than 215 million people have been inspired by Cirque Du Soleil in over 70 countries.
Tickets for “Twas the Night Before…” start at $44 and went on sale Friday, August 26, at 10 a.m. at AXS.com.
