Shakespeare Dallas has officially announced its 2024 season lineup, and performing arts lovers will not be disappointed.

You can expect three different plays at the 52nd Shakespeare in the Park run this year. Two plays will run parallel during the summer, and a third will run in the fall.

All three will occur outdoors at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre at 1500 Tenison Pkwy. Patrons are encouraged to come packing tasty eats to picnic in the grass. And, if you feel inclined to imbibe, beer and wine are permitted.

The Odyssey

  • When: June 14 – July 21, 2024
  • What: This dramatic adaption of Homer’s epic by Mary Zimerman focuses on a modern young woman who struggles to understand Robert Fitzgerald’s translation of The Odyssey.

Twelfth Night

  • When: June 14 – July 21, 2024
  • What: Rob Clare directs this Shakespearean romantic comedy covering a mistaken identity case. After Viola and her twin brother Sebastian survive a shipwreck, each thinking the other has perished, Viola adopts a male disguise and takes on the identity of Cesario, serving under Duke Orsino.

Julius Caesar

  • When: September 13 – October 13, 2024
  • What: Worried about Julius Caesar’s potential danger to democratic principles, revolutionaries resolve to assassinate him. This act sets off a chain of events where chaos and superstition fuel a descent into civil war, marking the thrilling narrative of this Shakespearean tragedy directed by Katie Ibrahim.

Early bird ticket prices are available until March 15 and can be purchased on the Shakespeare Dallas website. The tickets can be used by a single person for multiple shows or multiple individuals for one show.

  • Three tickets for $50.
  • Six tickets for $95.
  • 12 tickets for $175.

Alternatively, an all-access pass can be purchased for $125 per person for the 2024 season. It allows the pass holder access to as many shows as they wish and includes other benefits.
