Mayfest kicks off in Fort Worth this weekend, with dozens of performances slated.
Let us hope the metroplex stays relatively dry, with Mayfest in Fort Worth starting Thursday and running through Sunday. The annual festival takes place on 33 acres in Trinity Park, with parking available at Farrington Field and Dickies Arena Yellow Lot.
Visitors can enjoy several activities suitable for the whole family, from music and rides to shopping and games:

- Riverbank activities
- Entertainment Oasis
- Live music and other performing arts
Over four dozen bands will perform across multiple stages at this year’s Mayfest. While admission is free on Thursday, tickets must be purchased for entrance each day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Adults (ages 13+): $12
- Children (ages 3-12): $7
- Senior Citizens (aged 65+): $7
- Toddlers (2 and under): Free
A military discount is available for active, retired, and veteran service members who show a valid Military ID, Veteran endorsement on a State-issued ID, or a copy of a DD-214. Service members and up to three family members can receive free admission.
Opening times vary throughout the festival period:
- Thursday: 3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 3:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Unfortunately, Fort Worth is expecting a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday evening, dropping down to 30% on Friday. Chances of precipitation will pick up again on Saturday, with showers and thunderstorms also likely on Sunday.
