The White House on Friday unveiled a new official mobile app designed to give Americans “unfiltered, real-time updates” on President Trump and his administration straight from the source.
The White House app delivers breaking news alerts on major announcements and executive actions, live streams of briefings, speeches, and historic moments, and a dynamic media library of highlights and policy updates. Users can also submit feedback and comments directly to the administration.
The app includes a link to “Text President Trump.” After texting a message, the user is invited to “Add Yourself to Community” by filling out a form with some identifying information. There is also a link to send an email.
Officials described the platform as a powerful new tool that cuts through traditional media channels, offering real-time updates, live video, photos, and smart push notifications straight from the source.
“From the Oval Office straight to your phone, the official White House app is the fastest, most powerful way to stay informed and engaged with the Trump Administration,” the White House said in its announcement.
The app is available for download now on the App Store and Google Play.
