A man was fatally shot, and two others were arrested on Wednesday following a shooting in Oak Cliff, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Dallas Police officers arrived at the 2400 block of Rugged Drive East around 7:29 p.m. on August 3 and discovered an unidentified man shot multiple times inside a parked car.

The unidentified man was transported to a hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue but succumbed to his injuries. The medical examiner’s office will confirm the victim’s identity.

A preliminary investigation into the incident revealed two suspects fled the automobile in Oak Cliff after several bullets were fired. Joe Torres, 18, and Jennifer Posado-Colato, 19, were allegedly identified as the suspects after being located at a nearby house.

Torres is accused of fatally shooting the victim before Posado-Colato allegedly grabbed Torres’ weapon and left it at the house where they were discovered, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Torres was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Posado-Colato was also transported after complaining of medical issues.

Posado-Colato is charged with tampering with physical evidence, while Torres was charged with murder.

An investigation is underway.
