A man died on Tuesday after being shot by Fort Worth police in an incident last week.

Officers responded to a call about alleged domestic violence in the 3200 block of Olive Place at about 8:30 p.m. on June 29.

In a 911 call released by police, a woman is heard telling the dispatcher that her brother was outside with a gun. According to the caller, her brother was threatening his wife with the weapon.

Witnesses claimed Alejandro Molina Cornelio, 31, pointed his gun at people in the home and then fled in his truck.

While being pursued by police, Cornelio reportedly called family members and threatened to kill himself and his wife. He was driving back towards the home at that point.

Police unit dash-cam footage shows a police vehicle ramming into Cornelio’s truck in the 3200 block of Olive Place near Z Boaz Park. Gunfire could be heard in the recording.

It is unclear how many officers shot at Cornelio, which officers were involved in the shooting, and whether Cornelio shot at his pursuers.

However, police announced that the suspect was hit multiple times.

Cornelio was taken to the intensive care unit of a hospital, where he died on July 5. Police say the incident is still under investigation.
