The victim of a deadly shooting that occurred outside a Fort Worth Kroger grocery store in late June has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Around 7:40 a.m. on June 22, Fort Worth Police officers responded to a shooting call at 9144 Camp Bowie West Blvd., The Dallas Express reported.

The Fort Worth Police Department detained three people for questioning at the scene about their potential involvement.

About three hours after the shooting, 36-year-old Spenser Joseph Slavik died at a nearby hospital from gunshot wounds to the torso and left upper extremity, according to the medical examiner.

A police spokeswoman announced Wednesday that an arrest had been made in connection with Slavik’s death but stated that “all the individuals involved are minors,” meaning additional information could not be disclosed, according to the Star-Telegram.
