The Dallas Police Department arrested a 38-year-old man over a fatal shooting incident.

According to Dallas Police, officers responded to the scene of a fatal shooting at the Trust Bank located at 1241 W. Mockingbird Lane on Monday, June 6, at about 12:47 p.m.

Responding officers found 45-year-old Paul Zapata Ramirez with a gunshot wound to the neck. Dallas fire-rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Ramirez dead.

Upon investigation, detectives determined that Carlos MacAnthony Cobbs was responsible for Ramirez’s murder. Dallas Police did not say what evidence connected him to the shooting.

Officers arrested the suspect and took him to the Dallas County Jail, where he is currently being held. Cobbs’s bail situation remains unknown at this time, and it is not clear if he has any legal representation.
