ADDISON — A son allegedly stabbed his father to death on Tuesday at a motel on Belt Line Road.
The incident happened at the Red Roof Inn, 4103 Belt Line Road, around 2:50 p.m., City of Addison spokesperson Mary Rosenbleeth said.
“Upon arrival, police discovered the body of a middle-aged man with multiple stab wounds,” Rosenbleeth told The Dallas Express. “He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A suspect, believed to be the victim’s son, was found in a nearby room and taken into custody by Addison police, she said.
Police carried a body out of a room around 4:45 p.m., shortly after The Dallas Express arrived on the scene.
“This is an isolated incident, and there is no active threat to the public at this time,” Rosenbleeth said.
The name of the victim and suspect were not released.
