Police Look for Suspect Behind Fatal Shooting of 30-Year-Old Man

Dallas police say a man was fatally shot in South Dallas on Wednesday.   

Officers with the Dallas Police Department responded to 1615 Marburg St., near Botham Jean Boulevard and Elsie Faye Heggins Street at about 4:45 p.m. There, they found a man who had been shot.  

Police identified the victim as Irish Jimmy Booker. Booker was transferred to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.  

The department stated that investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and have not said anything about a possible suspect.

The Dallas Police Department released that the investigation is ongoing and did not provide any further details about the event or about any potential suspects.
