The Dallas Express previously reported a gunfire exchange between two groups outside a pizza joint in Uptown Dallas. It was reported that two men were shot, one being an unidentified bystander who sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police now say that the second man shot in the leg was found at a hospital. After a preliminary investigation, police say that the second man left the scene before officers arrived. The police initially reported him as a bystander but later clarified he was not and is now believed to have been involved in the disturbance.

Additional findings have led to a man being arrested in connection with the incident. Police identified him as David Whiting-Hill, 22.

Whiting-Hill was booked into the Dallas County Jail early Monday. He is being charged with “aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.” His bail has not been set, and it is unclear whether he has an attorney.
