Woman Stabbed to Death in Her Home

Police officers reported they found a woman stabbed to death in her home in Far North Dallas on Saturday.

At about 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.26, police responded to the 7200 block of McCallum Boulevard, near Meandering Way and Hillcrest Road. They found Maria Lopez, 44, in her home. She was unresponsive with stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the motive for the stabbing is unknown, but an investigation is ongoing. It is unclear if officers have determined any suspects in the case.

The Dallas Police Department did not release any additional details about the incident but urged anyone with information to contact Detective Theodore Gross at 214-671-3143. Informants may also reach the detective at [email protected] and refer to case No. 192939-2021.
