Officers think that the man might have also been hit by another car before being hit by the Dodge Charger, the driver of which stopped at the location to check out the damage. Police said he also cooperated with the investigation.

According to police, the Dodge Charger had its left wheel knocked off and its left front area damaged. Another vehicle then hit the tire.

Authorities say they might not be charging anyone for the incident. However, investigators are still looking to see if another vehicle struck the pedestrian before the Dodge Charger did.

Detectives believe the pedestrian had crossed the westbound lanes of I-30 before he was stuck. They said he might have been trying to cross the eastbound lanes when he got hit.

The pedestrian has not yet been identified. After the medical examiner identifies him, his next of kin will be notified.

No further detail regarding the incident has been released. Police say their investigation is still ongoing.
