A fire spread through an apartment complex in the 2600 block of Hawco Drive.

Grand Prairie firefighters arrived at the scene around 11 a.m. on January 12 to contain the fire located in the attic.

The rescue crew helped residents evacuate safely. No injuries were reported.

The aftermath left sixteen residents to relocate to other units in the complex due to water, smoke, and fire damage.

The American Red Cross and Grand Prairie Office of Emergency Management were on scene to help.

An investigation is underway by Grand Prairie Fire Arson.
