North Texas is gearing up to paint the town green this weekend as St. Patrick’s Day celebrations bring parades, parties, and plenty of cheer across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The annual Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival takes center stage along Greenville Avenue, promising music, food, and thousands of green-clad revelers ready for a good time.

The parade rolls out at 11 a.m. on Saturday, starting on Blackwell Street, heading down Greenville Avenue, and wrapping up at SMU Boulevard around 2 p.m. To keep things moving safely for the big crowds, Greenville Avenue between Park Lane and Mockingbird Lane will close at 10 a.m., along with Caruth Haven Lane, Southwestern Boulevard, Lovers Lane, University Boulevard, and SMU Boulevard. Mockingbird Lane will stay open for cross traffic.

Anyone hoping to skip the parking scramble can hop on DART and get off at the Park Lane Station or Lovers Lane Station for easy access to the action.

Before or after the parade, the festival at Energy Square runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with food, live music, drinks, and all the festive vibes. Attendees can also join the St. Paddy’s 5K day dash for a little extra luck of the Irish.

The shamrock spirit stretches well beyond Dallas, with other spots getting in on the fun.

At Denton County Brewing Company in Denton, visitors can enjoy live music, raffles, the new Barrel-Aged Irish Red brew, and options like the Pub Supper or free Recovery Pub Run 5K running March 13-15 and 17.

In Flower Mound, the Tavern at Lakeside hosts the Lakeside Village St. Paddy’s Festival on March 14 from 1-10 p.m. with live music, drinks, food trucks, and partners including Anheuser Busch, Trinchero Wines, and William Grant Liquor — all for free admission.

Frisco’s PGA District keeps things lively March 14 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with St. Patrick’s Day festivities, specials, and green beer at every outlet.

Downtown McKinney turns into a beer walk on March 14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 20 stops offering craft beers, ciders, and seltzers, plus local vendors and photo booths for $42.34.

Plano’s Ringo’s Pub hosts a block party starting at 11 a.m. March 14 featuring green beer, Irish drink specials, live music, food trucks, vendor booths, and outdoor bars — free to join.

Irving’s Toyota Music Factory gets festive March 14 from noon to 8 p.m. with green beer, live music, food, vendors, yard games, and a beer garden. General admission is free; VIP tickets run $28.49.

Fort Worth’s Stockyards goes full Cowtown green on March 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with food and drink, armadillo races, lawn games, pony rides, old west gunfight shows, and more.

And in Grapevine on March 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the British Emporium hosts the St. Paddy’s British Motor Heritage Show with a themed car display and a food drive for the GRACE pantry — free admission.

Whether you’re marching in the parade or hunting for the perfect pint at one of the many nearby parties, North Texas has no shortage of ways to celebrate.
