Dallas Police Find 22-Year-Old Man Shot in His Home

A 22-year-old man was found with a fatal gunshot wound in his northwest Dallas home on Wednesday, police say.

Per a Dallas Morning News report, officers with the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting in the 3200 block of Sumter Drive, near Bachman Lake, early Wednesday, at about 3:40 am. When they arrived, they found the man who had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Dallas police identified the victim as Sergio Maas.

Police have not provided further details of the case. It is unclear whether police have determined a suspect or a motive behind the shooting.

Dallas police say that investigation into the incident is ongoing. The department urges anyone with information to contact Detective Chad Murphy at 214-908-6981.
