Police report that a two-vehicle collision near W. Green Oaks Boulevard and Lee Drive in Arlington occurred on Tuesday shortly after 5 p.m.

The accident was caused by 45-year-old Priscilla Rodriguez, who was allegedly driving her Porsche Cayenne nearly 80 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone when she T-boned a Honda Accord carrying two people.

The male driver of the Honda was killed in the crash. The 20-year-old female passenger was transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Rodriguez was also taken to the hospital but appeared to be stable.

According to investigators, the Honda driver was attempting to make a left turn from Lee Drive onto W Green Oaks Blvd when Rodriguez’s car collided with his. The impact caused the Accord to crash into a light pole.

After police spoke with witnesses and Rodriguez, they determined that she was racing with another car at the time of the accident.

Witnesses described the other car involved with the race as a dark-colored BMW SUV.

Rodriguez faces charges for two counts of racing on a highway causing serious bodily injury or death.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the deceased victim’s identity once his family is notified.
