New York-based private equity firms TZP Group and GCP Capital Partners have acquired Superscapes, the official landscaping company of the Dallas Cowboys.
Crux Capital, a Dallas-based PE firm, announced the sale of Superscapes, one of its portfolio companies, in an April 22 press release. Superscapes was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, and offers services in the Lone Star State and neighboring Arkansas.
According to the announcement, Superscapes has seen its footprint grow under the leadership of Chief Executive Shawn Clayton alongside its strategic partnership with Crux Capital.
“We are incredibly proud of the growth and success Superscapes has achieved during our partnership,” said Wayne Moore, Managing Partner of Crux Capital, in the press release.
“Shawn Clayton and his team have built an exceptional platform, and we’ve worked together to enhance its market leadership through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence. TZP and GCP are ideal partners to take Superscapes into its next chapter, and we are confident they will continue to build on the strong foundation we’ve established.”
In addition to providing maintenance services for the AT&T Stadium in Arlington and The Star in Frisco, Superscapes’ portfolio includes the Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the Children’s Hospital and Platinum Park in Plano, and Cypress Waters in Irving.
“Superscapes leads the landscaping industry with award-winning innovation and excellence, delivering to every customer the finest in design, installation, and maintenance services. People are our highest priority, and for over two decades, we have developed the greatest team of experienced professionals who deliver the highest quality of customer service in North Texas and Northwest Arkansas,” reads a description on their website.
Clayton says the landscaping company has “had an incredible journey with Crux Capital.”
“As we transition to our new partners, we look forward to leveraging their resources and industry knowledge to further elevate Superscapes and continue delivering outstanding service to our clients,” he said.
