The roughly 50-minute showcase, followed by a 95-minute Nintendo Treehouse Live gameplay session, highlighted first- and third-party games spanning 2026 and 2027. It emphasized Switch 2 enhancements and several surprise announcements that excited fans awaiting new hardware-supported experiences.
Nintendo closed the Direct with confirmation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, due sometime in 2026 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. A brief tease showed updated visuals of the classic, with Nintendo promising more details soon. “The Nintendo 64 classic returns for a new generation in 2026, reborn exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2,” the company stated, per IGN.
Square Enix provided major highlights. Kingdom Hearts 4 received its first substantial reveal with gameplay footage, coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at launch alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and other platforms. The full Kingdom Hearts Collection (I~III) arrives on Switch 2 on October 8.

Third-party support proved strong. Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition arrives on Switch 2 June 23. Stellar Blade heads to Switch 2 later in 2026. Minecraft receives a dedicated Switch 2 version with improved visuals this year. Lies of P: Complete Edition launches August 6, and Lords of the Fallen 2 arrives this fall.
