Lennox International has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Heat Controller, a leading HVAC equipment supplier serving distributors across North America.
The Dallas-based company, traded as NYSE: LII, said the deal expands its portfolio to include the well-known Comfort-Aire and Century brands.
The acquisition, announced on June 18, 2026, strengthens Lennox’s position in the independent distributor channel. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Strategic Expansion in HVAC Market
Heat Controller, based in Jackson, Michigan, supplies residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment primarily through independent distributors. The company operates under the Comfort-Aire and Century brands, known for reliable performance and broad product availability, per the Lennox press release.
Lennox stated the acquisition complements its existing operations and creates new opportunities to serve small and mid-sized distributors. “Heat Controller and its Comfort-Aire and Century brands strengthen how we serve our distributor partners with flexibility and exceptional customer service,” said Lennox CEO Alok Maskara.
The move follows Lennox’s earlier expansion efforts, including its 2025 acquisition of certain HVAC parts and accessories brands for $550 million, reported Homepros.
