Bayou City Lab was featured on Houston’s top startups to watch in 2020 and focus on every detail it takes to move Black-owned software development business forward. They combine innovative ideas and entrepreneurial drive with their incredible networks and collection of experts to form the greatest partnership.
Bayou City Lab created their Venture Club recently to connect founders, venture capitalists, fund managers and accredited investors. With this new program, they go on a mission to help underserved tech entrepreneurs such as BIPOC, LatinX and female tech founders.
“We want to be at the forefront of the new business landscape that focuses on inclusion and diversity,” said managing partner Leslie Wilson. “BCL Vc is focused on startups that have the potential to be category leaders or industry disruptors. Through execution and support, we aim to provide exceptional returns to BCL Vc investors.”
The company is composed of Leslie Wilson and Robert Corion as Managing Partners, and they work with four advisors to help bring important innovations to light: Jonathan Wu is an angel investor and a member of the Sand Hill Angels; John Ruddy was the founder of Noah Consulting; Grady Ligon is one of the minds behind Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand; Heather Brunner is Chairwoman and CEO for WP Engine. With experienced founders at the helm and a team of diverse advisers, BLC Venture Club is ready for action.
