What we lack in snow, we make up for in beautiful Christmas lights. The Dallas Express once again has a list of the best neighborhoods and homes to visit to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Miracle on 134th Street (Celina, November 23-December 23)
It might just be one family’s home, but do not be fooled; Miracle on 134th Street is a professional-level production. Expect a forest filled with over two million Christmas lights and Santa’s workshop spanning over 8,500 square feet. Located at 10455 County Road 133.
Regent’s Park Luminary Even (McKinney, December 14-15)
This year marks the eighth annual event where more than 2,500 lit-up paper bags descend on the neighborhood for two days only.
Burkman Holiday Home (Frisco, Kicks off December 1)
You might recognize this iconic home from ABC’s The Great Christmas Lights Fight television series. Guests will be treated to a display of over 100,000 lights, animatronic figures, and more at 3809 Hazelhurst Drive.
The Gift of Lights (McKinney, November 28-January 1)
The Joules-Cornetti home at 8624 Palermo Way will have plenty of lights, inflatables, and more. Lights are active daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Movie House (Allen, November 28-January 1)
Highlights from classic holiday movies will accompany music and thousands of lights. The 15-minute show runs on repeat nightly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 1600 Wagon Wheel Drive.
Tell Family Lights (Keller, November 28-December 31)
More than 60 songs will be featured at the Tell Family Lights show, which runs daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 5016 Keating St.
Stay in the Light (Rockwall, December 1-25)
The Hughes home at 1655 Plummer Dr. boasts over 100,000 lights. The show is in loving memory of Nathaniel Hughes, the son of homeowners Brenda and David. The show runs nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Deerfield Holiday Lights (Plano, December 1-30)
This subdivision in northwest Plano goes over the top during the holiday season, including carriage rides, dancing Santas, and, of course, lots of lights. The event is free and runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends.
Interlochen Lights (Arlightoin, December 14-26)
This free event in northwest Arlington features more than 200 decorated homes. Lights are active from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. nightly.
Glenbrook Christmas (Bedford, December 1-31)
Add a little Lone Star flavor to your festivities when the Bedford neighborhood runs its Texas-themed display daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
