The Dallas Mavericks continue to roll as they traveled to Sacramento and defeated the Kings 122–114 Friday night as newly acquired Kyrie Irving led the Mavs to victory.

Irving ended the game with a double-double, finishing with 25 points and 10 assists, and remained perfect from the free-throw line.

Tim Hardaway finished the game with 15 points and seven rebounds to add to the Mavericks’ third win in a row.

Mavericks’ guard Josh Green also scored double digits in Dallas’ win over Sacramento, netting 17 points with seven assists.

The starters for the Mavericks didn’t do it alone, as the bench combined for 43 points in the win.

Dallas never trailed in the game and, at one point, led by 24 points.

The Mavericks were without star player Luka Doncic as he continues to battle a right heel contusion.

His status to play against the Kings Saturday remains undetermined.

After the game, Kings coach Mike Brown spoke to ESPN and said the Mavericks came out swinging.

“Dallas came out and hit us in the mouth to begin the game,” Brown said. “We gave up 45 points in the first quarter, and that’s hard to recover from.”

Kings guard De’Aaron Fox led the kings in points scoring 33 while shooting 10 of 16 from the field in their home loss to the Mavs.

Kings Power Forward, Domantas Sabonis, earned another double-double as he continues to lead the league with 43.

Sabonis finished the game with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists for the Kings.

After the game, Mavericks’ coach Jason Kidd spoke to reporters about the team’s road win over the Kings and the teamwork displayed on the court.

“I think just being connected and understanding the roles,” Kidd said to reporters after the game.

He was impressed with the way the Mavs started the game.

“To get off to a start like that, I think they have 23 assists at halftime. That’s pretty good, you know, for us,” Kidd added.

The Mavericks face the Kings again in the final of a two-game series on Saturday night.

Dallas is riding a three-game win streak and looks to make it four against Sacramento Saturday night.

Tip-off begins at 9 p.m. at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
