Kodi Nolen of Midlothian Heritage takes third place at 4A state golf championship

Midlothian Heritage junior golf star Kodi Nolen and her teammates are being feted following their strong showing at the Class 4A state championships.

“Our Board recognizes our Heritage High School Girls Golf Team. They earned 4th place at the State Golf Tournament and Kodi Nolen earned 3rd place individually and Maddie Sanders placed 4th individually,” the school posted on its Facebook page. Congratulations! #MISDProud.”

Heritage also got a strong showing at state from Maddie Sanders, who finished fourth overall. Trinity Conrad, Brynlea Caldwell and Cate Swize were also part of the regional title-winning team, drawing applause from school officials on the team’s Twitter page. 

Nolen, who has also made a name for herself by participating in the Northern Texas Junior Tour since 2013, was also tabbed team MVP for the girls’ team along with Hank Germany on the boys’ side.
