Keller Fossil Ridge star infielder Julian Lopez has signed a letter of intent to attend Arlington Baptist University.
“We are very pleased to recognize the seniors who have chosen to attend schools in Arlington, Dallas, Denton, and Fort Worth,” the school posted on You Tube in announcing Lopez’s signing.
In heading to Arlington Baptist, Lopez joins a team that qualified for the NCCAA Southwest Regional Tournament this season after knocking off Hardin-Simmons University 8-5 in a tournament hosted by Southwestern Christian University.
At 5-9, 160 pounds, Lopez’s primary position on his NCSA recruiting page are listed as shortstop and pitcher. The right-hander‘s exit velocity is listed at 83 with a consistent infield velocity of 79.
